“I’m a dead clown.”

“A what?”

“A dead clown.”

Can you believe that’s how I started my college entrance essay? And it worked! For context, that’s how I met one of my first lifelong friends. During recess in kindergarten, I was lying in the grass looking up at the clouds. You know the drill, trying to find cool shapes. A little girl walked by and asked what I was doing. That’s what led to the conversation above, and the next thing I know she’s lying next to me in the grass. We’re still friends to this day!

I enjoy telling stories, which is no surprise that I fell into writing as a career. I first started writing professionally as a producer for local TV news. I left the industry after a grueling eight years. I then worked at a digital marketing agency writing copy for some of the world’s largest retailers, including Walmart, eBay, and CVS. Most recently, I’ve worked as a UX writer for IT and EdTech companies.

Beyond creative and technical writing, I also enjoy collaborating with designers and developers to create content strategies for a better user experience. No matter the material, I see all content as a story. Even a short banner ad has a beginning, middle, and end. (At least it should.)

I really appreciate you visiting my personal site and getting to know me a little better. As you peruse your way through, you’ll find my resume and a sampling of projects I’ve worked on. And if you like what you see, maybe we can chat in person soon!
