These projects made me feel good about myself, like I was actually making a difference in the world. As a writer on a team of user experience experts, my focus was always on making the lives of teachers, students, and adiministrators much easier. The following projects helped level up our digital education products.
This is probably the biggest solo project I’ve ever worked on. When I joined the user experience team at an EdTech company, there was no editorial style guide providing copy consistency across the suite of products. This was my answer to that challenge.
Some of our larger clients wanted to know if our products were having a positive impact on their school districts. So, we created a sort of “ROI” report with data showing how students were progressing between diagnostic assessments. Click on each image for a closer look.
Another client request, we created a Year-Over-Year report showing whether students were on track to meet end-of-year goals. We got a lot of great feedback from users on this one!
Teachers were the main focus of this project. We created a new home page within our product that gave a quick overview of the lessons students were working on and whether they were mastering the work or needed immediate teacher intervention.
